Ayla loves insects with wings... she is always finding butterflies, dragonflies and moths. Memaw thought it would be fun to raise a few silk moths over the summer and Ayla has been incredibly interested in gathering and washing the mulberry leaves and feeding them. How exciting it has been for her to see the beautiful silk moths emerge from the white cocoons with wonderfully expressive antennae! She got to take one home with her last night and she is carrying it around all day today "taking care of him". She calls him "leafy".
