Ayla's trip to the Magic House was so full and exciting. I felt like we had to move her along on several of the exhibits and she didn't get to spend quite as much time as she wanted on a few of them. We really need to take her back so she can delve as deep into her imagination as she wants to go!

There was a really beautiful outdoor rooftop classroom, complete with seed starting units, composting and miniature house (kicking myself for not taking pictures of it!) I said "Stick your head in the hole so I can take a picture!" And Ayla being the literal person she is, dove all the way through ;)
The light was really low in here and so my camera was trying to auto focus, Ayla's hair did end up standing straight out- it was so neat to see!
Ayla loved the fishing too!
The places Ayla did not want to leave were in the mini village. She played pizza shop owner and baby doctor til we made her move on.
Wondering how she's going to fry that fish....
She really enjoyed seeing family on Sunday- that's always a treat for her!
Step 1: After deciding not to spend the $45 for a real tree this year- drive to MeMaw's a.k.a. the place where Santa stores his extra Christmas decorations and procure pre-lit tree (our first fake tree)
Step 2: Decide that pre-lit wasn't enough lights, add 2 strands of colored twinkling lights.
Step 3: Allow the kids to decorate using ornaments from the non-breakable box.
Wallaaaaaa!
