Trying to capitalize on the "snow light" coming in from the window (love it) and take some cute pics with Ayla on her minky blanket- It didn't come out as fuzzy and soft as I had hoped so I'll be taking more. This one just cracked me up. I'll be posting more. click to enlarge :)

checkup

Ayla missed her checkup on Monday- I don't know what happened- I remembered on Teusday night so I called to reschedule. They were able to fit her in today (friday). She now weighs 15.5 pounds (90th percentile) and is over 24 inches long! Doc said to start her on fruits, veggies and cereal between now and the next visit (feb 18th). So get this- I hear there was a bad batch of vaccines and they had to be recalled the day before yesterday! When I remembered about missing her appt I turned to Marcus and said 'there must be a reason for it'. Divine intervention much?

A good baby!

Here is Ayla at her 4th soap show. I ran into a customer at the store and she asked me where Ayla was at the SIU show. I said she was there with me! The lady wanted to know how I did it. I said I have a good baby who likes to watch us from behind the table! I even scooted her little seat under the table so she could get some rest at times. Also, it takes a minute for people to realize there's a baby in there when I wear her in the sling. I've startled more than one person that way. Ayla is such a good baby.

A visit with Sophie

Sophie took really good care of Ayla while we were there doing the home show! They are already best friends!

A Blog for Ayla! Oh no! Ayla's interests include: Eating, sleeping, laughing, crying, smiling, pooping, puking and watching movies. She likes to take rides in the car and prefers to be in the sling while shopping.
